Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and business-oriented Manager of Pricing Systems and Data to drive the development, maintenance and optimization of our pricing platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our pricing systems and the data design behind it effectively meet the needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will be able to apply application and data design strategy for the platform to ensure it is optimized properly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Represent Pricing Team to work closely with various business functions (e.g., sales, marketing, product management, accounting, and customer service) to identify pricing needs, gather requirements, and ensure that the pricing platform supports business growth objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering: Lead the process of gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for the IT team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on pricing goals and deliverables.
  • Data Flow Management: Develop a deep understanding of the data flow across systems and databases, ensuring that data integration within the pricing system is seamless and supports business processes effectively.
  • Data Analysis and Hands-on Data Management: Perform hands-on data review, transformation, and cleanup using SQL databases and other data sources to ensure accurate and consistent data for pricing analysis and business decision-making.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee pricing system & data projects from a business perspective, ensuring they align with strategic goals and are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration between business units and IT, ensuring that the pricing system evolves to meet changing business needs while maintaining data integrity and consistency.
  • Training and Support: Support business users by ensuring they are well-trained on the pricing system and understand how to leverage it to achieve their objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system enhancements, process improvements, and the adoption of new technologies to drive business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • 5 plusyears of experience in data analytics, pricing systems (PriceFx required), or project management, with a strong focus on business development.
    • Proven ability to understand business processes, identify needs, and develop solutions that drive business growth.
    • Strong understanding of data flow, integration between systems, and the ability to analyze and leverage data for business insights.
    • Proficient in coding using SQL with an understanding of SQL Server Management Database for querying, designing, and managing data.
    • Experience in managing cross-functional projects, particularly those involving systems implementation or enhancement.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language and vice versa.
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, particularly in understanding and managing data connections between systems.
