Work Location & Shifts: 1120 Industrial Ave, North Platte, NE

1st Shift 6:00am-4:30pm Monday -Thursday

Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is 20.00 + and benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.

The Assembler works in the manufacturing plant to meet production, quality, and service delivery goals. The Assembler performs all duties necessary on assigned tasks while achieving and sustaining the safety, performance and quality expectations of the manufacturing task.

  What your day in this role might involve at OC-North Platte:

  The Assembler works in the manufacturing plant to meet production, quality, and service delivery goals. The Assembler performs all duties necessary on assigned tasks while achieving and sustaining the safety, performance and quality expectations of the manufacturing task.

  What you will do:

  
  
• Must be able to complete tasks by reading and interpreting shop copies and drawings with little supervision
• Able to perform all duties required to assemble and prep doors, install louvers, glass and sticking
• Seek out, implement and share best practices within and across departments to improve safety, productivity and quality
• Assist in development and implementation of 5S initiatives
• Ability to read and understand all Safety Procedures
• Perform all tasks assigned by the Supervisor
• Perform daily housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

• Strong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door components
• Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such asNail Gun, Screw Gun,Router, Tape Measure, Square
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
• Read and understand bill of materials
• Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service
• Follow all operational and safety SOP's as written

• Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required
• 1-2 Years in the field or related area

  There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

  
  
• Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
• Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 60-pounds)
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
