We're looking for a full time staff, Civil Engineer 3 to join our team!

located in either Greenville SC, Charlotte NC, or Remote.

As the Civil Engineer III, here's the work you'll do:

Under general supervision, a Civil Engineer III is expected to develop Civil engineering deliverables, engineering design criteria, calculations, proposals, and specifications on various sized projects for both greenfield and brownfield sites. Able to prepare or provide oversight of the production of basic to complex levels of Civil design and analysis including site plans, grading plans, utility plans, erosion and sediment controls, in-plant road plans and profiles, utility and storm drainage plans and profiles, retaining walls, drainage and earthwork calculations. The position could require the individual to provide discipline administrative and supervisory functions on the assigned project of designers and junior engineers, including the development of discipline scope document, engineering budgets, schedule and associated staffing plans and management of assigned staff.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Prepares or checks Civil calculations, sketches, drawings, specification and other Civil Engineering deliverables.
  • Provides technical guidance for the pertinent portions of the assigned projects including Construction Administration.
  • Develops and monitors project scopes and schedule for applicable discipline. Identifies changes in scope and their impact, as they occur.
  • Coordinates work with other disciplines, departments, construction, permitting agencies, vendors, subcontractors and the client.
  • Monitors and ensures design work and documents are correct, consistent with applicable codes, logically presented and constructible.
  • When responsible for work, stamps required project documents as a PE.

  • Experience in effective project execution and project procedures. Full understanding of zoning, wetland, local, state or federal agency requirements along with understanding of generally acceptable local, state and federal engineering standards and practices. Ability to supervise and lead the completion of projects.
  • Strong organizational skills for multiple projects in solar, industrial and power markets and knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction style projects.
  • Exhibits both technical breadth and depth of subject Civil engineering curriculum and is able to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge in civil engineering design and analysis software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HydraFlow and Storm and Sanitary Analysis along with proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks and other relevant EPC industry software
