Job Overview

Viracon is hiring Maintenance Technicians to join our night shift team. These roles are essential in supporting the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Technicians in this role also help manage parts inventory and document maintenance activity using Viracon's computerized maintenance management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, dismantling, and cleaning of parts
  • Assist with troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding equipment
  • Control and track inventory of supplies and replacement parts
  • Document work performed using the computerized maintenance program
  • Apply general fabrication skills, including welding (ARC, MIG, TIG), cutting, torch use, and grinding
  • Read and follow blueprints and basic technical diagrams
  • Work safely and use all approved safety equipment in accordance with training and procedures
  • Support Viracon's Continuous Improvement initiatives by understanding team performance and participating in process improvements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in maintenance, fabrication, or mechanical repair preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English
  • Familiarity with power tools and general mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow diagrams
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexible in work hours, dependable, and able to maintain regular attendance
  • Commitment to promoting Viracon positively and following company policies

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay: $26.90 - $33.80
  • Nights (multiple positions available)

Work Environment

  • Based in a large-scale manufacturing facility
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust from production processes
  • Frequent interaction with machinery and moving equipment under strict safety protocols
  • Team-oriented environment with potential overtime, including weekends, based on production needs
