  • The Controls Coordinator will be responsible to ensure OEM/Line Integrator compliance with corporate controls engineering standards on vehicle launches.
  • The Controls Coordinator will be responsible for design reviews, approvals and implementation of Vehicle Process Engineering Controls standards and specifications.
  • The Controls Coordinator will lead & support the implementation of these specifications.
  • Additionally, the Controls Coordinator will be responsible for following up with OEM/Line Integrator and ICT Plant Floor Systems implementation on active Vehicle Assembly Launches.
  • This position is also tasked with supporting OEM/Line Integrator controls meetings to review progress and identify potential obstacles, monitoring projects to meet their technical and business objectives.
  • The Controls Coordinator position is required to support plant floor launch activities, as required.


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Interface and follow up with Stellantis employees, component suppliers and Line Integrators;
  • Support other VPECR team members for status of builds
  • Ensure compliance to FCA design standards
  • Update timelines as applicable
  • Track VPECR project deliverables
  • Participate in equipment specification, drawing approvals, electrical build reviews, runoffs and machine commissioning
  • Develop and track Action Register, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) items to completion
  • Design Reviews
  • Engage in Controls Process Reviews (CPR)
  • Coordinate controls design reviews and corresponding approvals:
  • Controls engineering major milestones and timelines
  • Controls Process Reviews (CPR)
  • Controls Hardware Wiring Diagrams (WD)
  • Utility (Air, Water, Hydraulics and Lube ) system design
  • Industrial Controls - safety applications
  • PLC logic, HMI and visual display
  • Upper level (IT) interfaces to plant floor PLCs
  • Network Design
  • Track project deliverables
  • Follow up with ICT Plant Floor Systems Vehicle Launch implementation status:
  • Strong interface with ICT organization as a Vehicle Process Engineering liaison
  • Report readiness status on Plant Floor Systems (FIS, QAS, PFS, Kanban, etc.

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Degree with 5 years of manufacturing controls experience OR an associate's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3 years of manufacturing controls experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering design experience with an emphasis on: Electrical schematic design, controls engineering, PLC programming, network management and interface to plant floor systems
  • Minimum of 3 years of controls and/or plant floor systems integration experience
  • Self-directed and willing to work any shift


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5 or more years' experience in automotive assembly
  • Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) certification
  • Strong and proficient understanding of the following; Controls electrical design CAD software (ePlan / AutoCAD), PLC Programming - Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Rockwell RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000 -, HMI development - Siemens WinCC / TIA Portal, Rockwell Factory Talk View-
  • Strong and proficient understanding of field networks: EIP, DeviceNet, ProfiNet, etc.
  • Familiarity with governing codes such as OSHA, CSA, ANSI, NFPA70 & NFPA79 and UL508 & UL508a as they pertain to Controls & Safety
