Pay

Hourly pay starts at $27/hour based on experience

Schedule


  • Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm
  • Ability to work overtime and be on an on-call rotation

Summary of Duties

As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be a go-to expert for ensuring the smooth operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a diverse mix of new, aging, and historic buildings, including residence halls and apartments. You'll be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems to keep our buildings running efficiently.
  • Performing regular preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns and ensure consistent performance.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues related to HVAC equipment.
  • Monitoring system performance and making adjustments to improve energy efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the facilities team to support general building maintenance.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring minimal disruption to daily campus operations.
  • Keeping your working area safe, wearing and/or using appropriate safety equipment and tools, and abiding by established safety policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior HVAC Experience
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification (current or willing to obtain)
  • Experience or certification preferred in one or more of the following core competencies: electrical, piping, or building automation systems.
