Role Summary:
Reporting to the Location or Sales Manager, the Sales Development Associate will learn all areas of the business and The Kendall Group's sales process. This is a rotational program designed to train and develop skills through a mix of on the job, e-learning, subject matter expert training and customer visits. This program includes exposure to operations, sales strategies, processes and project management. This will provide a great overview of our industry before transitioning into a sales role.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Sales Development Associate position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Work with a mentor to learn and apply sales techniques
  • Identify the sales opportunities and understand how to convert them into orders
  • Monitor all quotations generated, ensure that they are professionally followed-up with
  • Attend customer visits with member of sales team
  • Search for new prospects to expand customer base and develop sales opportunities
  • Interact with management and technical team to understand customer strategies
  • Participate in project management meetings
  • Attend company conducted or company sponsored training to develop product knowledge and selling techniques
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, marketing, engineering or sales or related degree; minimum GPA 3.0
  • Analytics/Computer Skills High comfortability with digital tools and a strong acumen for quickly learning new software applications; familiarity with Office365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Organization Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment; very strong attention to detail; self-motivated and proactive


  • Cross-functional Skills: Creative and strategic thinker; ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service


  • Communication Skills: Organizational and written/verbal communication skills, including telephone aptitude and the ability to interface with customers and suppliers
