Sr. Azure Architect- Onsite

Title: SR Azure Architect- Onsite- Minneapolis, MN

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Architect with 15 to 18 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure Data Lake Store and Databricks SQL along with a strong background in Medicare & Medicaid Claims Claims and Payer domains. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects that impact the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architecture solutions using Azure Data Lake Store and Databricks SQL
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team to ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications and solutions
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations particularly in the context of Medicare & Medicaid Claims
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and reduce costs
• Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture processes and workflows to ensure clarity and consistency
• Conduct regular performance tuning and troubleshooting to address any issues and improve system efficiency
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the data architecture and solutions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions with other systems and applications
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
• Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and quality
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in data architecture and processes to support the companys strategic goals

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Azure Data Lake Store and Databricks SQL is required
• Strong background in Medicare & Medicaid Claims Claims and Payer domains is mandatory
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data architecture solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with data security and compliance in the healthcare industry
• Ability to mentor and guide development teams to ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables
• Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture
• Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and consistent records of data architecture and processes
• Ability to optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and cost efficiency
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in data architecture
• Familiarity with data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and quality
• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in data architecture and processes.

Maintenance: Application Expiration Date: 2/28/2025

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
