Desktop Engineer
What you will be doing: This position is directly involved with the operational delivery of technical services within ITS. Desktop Engineers have primary responsibility for delivery of services required to install, configure, monitor, support and manage the Premier systems. The Desktop Engineer possesses an enterprise view and understanding of the systems and technologies in place at Premier, as well as strong technical skills. This person performs operations planning, configuration, and management for complex systems and/or services within Premier. While primarily responsible for hardware and operating system components, this person possesses a higher-level understanding of the business environment and the business applications running on the systems being managed, and leverages that knowledge to achieve operational efficiencies, including recommending improvement opportunities.
