The Opportunity at Hand

The Corporate Partnership & Foundation Services Intern will work in support of the Corporate Partnership Team on key tasks and projects in relation to Partnership implementation and activation. They will shadow Corporate Partnership Coordinator in day-to-day activities, supporting key departmental tasks. As the Corporate Partnership Team works closely with the New Era Cap Foundation (NECF), this intern will also support various NECF projects and partnerships. The NECF represents the philanthropic arm of New Era Cap and serves as the vehicle through which CEO Chris Koch and New Era give back to the communities in which the company operates.

Projects & Tasks

  • Create and execute social media plan for key partner(s). On behalf of the New Era Cap Foundation, facilitate strategic social media growth plan.
  • Social/Digital Tracking: Will monitor key digital and social content.
  • Asset Requests: Will work with Manager and internal Creative Partners to fulfill asset requests.
  • Execute and organize any charitable donation requests as necessary.
  • Provide support to the New Era Cap Foundation during key events.
  • General Department Support: Assist Manager and teammates in key department tasks.
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need to make an impact

  • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems as needed
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone, email and in person
  • Strong public speaking, group presentation, interpersonal and persuasion skills required
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances by being flexible and execute accordingly
  • Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who manages change with urgency and persistence

Education and Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors program within Sports Management, Sports Marketing or a related field

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
