Compensation Range:$92,700 To $116,100 Plus Bonus

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

Join the Reserve Power and Engineered Services Project Management team, supporting today's fast-moving digital world. EnerSys has an immediate need for a Project Manager for its growing services division. With a focus on customer service, this position provides management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment. The Project Manager II Service typically manages multiple higher revenue projects, multiple high revenue projects, with the total value of projects exceeding $5 million dollars, ensuring that specifications and safety procedures are followed and that the work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage multiple inside DC power plant, UPS, and backup power projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost control.
  • Develop and execute detailed project schedules, monitoring revenue, margins, and on-time performance.
  • Engage directly with customers, field engineers, and service teams to define project scope, technical requirements, and installation procedures.
  • Generate accurate cost estimates, quotes, and method of procedure (MOP) documentation based on project specifications.
  • Supervise service technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, technical standards, and project deadlines.
  • Interpret and manage technical documentation, including electrical schematics, CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Ensure the proper installation, testing, and commissioning of DC power systems, rectifiers, inverters, UPS systems, and battery backup solutions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and power system issues in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Process and manage project change orders, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Enforce customer-specific safety and installation standards, while upholding EnerSys' best practices for quality and efficiency.
  • Track project expenses, labor hours, and performance metrics, using approved project management tools.
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional service offerings.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Experience in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on industry experience.
  • 4-6 years of field experience in DC power systems, UPS systems, battery backup, or related electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience in field service, power plant installation, or electrical construction is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Direct hands-on experience with DC power plants, rectifiers, UPS systems, and battery backup solutions.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, cabling, grounding, and circuit protection.
  • Strong understanding of NEC codes, IEEE standards, and industry best practices for electrical power systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, MS Project, Excel, and Visio for project documentation and planning.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for DC power, UPS, and electrical systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
