Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Engineering Co-op Student to join our team this Summer term. If you're ready to dive into a sea of opportunities and tackle hands-on experience in engineering, this role is for you! With a focus on data collection and creating standard work procedures, the position is ideal for students in their 3rd or 4th year of university or college, or those who have recently graduated. You will have the chance to work on diverse projects, collaborate with internal business partners, and support various engineering initiatives, ensuring you gain valuable skills and experience while working in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Essential Duties and responsibilities



  • Data Collection and Analysis:

    • Collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and engineering teams to collect data and create standard work procedures for equipment, processes, and product lines.
    • Occasionally work on various shifts to collect all relevant data.


  • Process Improvement:

    • Analyze and interpret data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
    • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various equipment and processes.


  • Project Support:

    • Assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects, including process optimization and equipment install.




Qualifications



  • Co-op Student enrolled in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Program.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather information and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Critical thinker and a team player.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret various data.
  • Good computer skills.
  • CAD experience would be a plus
