Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Director of Project Management to support our Health Mission programs. The Director of Project Management will be responsible for the performance of technical projects or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. This role will integrate with large project teams to lead and provide technical inputs for strategic modernization projects and growth opportunities supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) What you'll do:
Direct and supervise all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
- Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals.
- Accountable for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
- Interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
- Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
- Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team.
- Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
- Participate in driving initiatives for achieving established objectives.
- Provide management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting. financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management, personnel evaluation and support.
- Responsible for the preparation of and accountability for all contract deliverables
- Develop and operate a variety of technical systems related to the specific job function. Specify systems requirements and insure that completed systems meet requirements.
- Support data acquisition process control.
- Prepares and approves Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols, and other technical documentation.
- Individual may assist in the management of a business unit or department or is at an entry level in management of such under the close supervision of the Division or Program Director, as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 16 years of experience, may have management experience
- Proven experience as a lead, supervisory or management interface for the company, customer, and staff.
- Must have experience leading a team of individuals to include training new hires as well as mentoring current staff.
- Must have experience detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Experience implementing SLAs and performance metrics on a contract.
- Experience with developing and managing a customer-focused continuous improvement program(s).
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the willingness and ability to adapt to dynamic and unexpected customer and/or business requirements.
- Experience working in support of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain public trust clearance.
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated analytical and communications skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products and services.
- Experience with large scale SAFe Agile software development efforts.

Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
