About the role:



At Boston Scientific, the Process Engineering Director will provide a clear, single point of connection from Process Development to the Maple Grove Manufacturing Plant. The Process Engineering Director role will be responsible for building, managing, and influencing relationships/strategies with key plant stakeholders in the Maple Grove Plant (engineering, production, finance, human resources, capital equipment, materials management, facilities, program management, etc.). In addition, this person will lead Technology Development and New Product Development efforts to ensure solid alignment and execution within the Process Development function and Maple Grove site.

This position is an onsite role based in Maple Grove, MN.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Identify and communicatethe department's vision, new strategies, and projects aimed at enhancing key business metrics

  • Championthe sharing and leveraging of initiatives, processes, and accomplishments across the divisions/plants
  • Preparefor the launch of new products as they are handed over from R&D through to the successful launch into a production scale operation
  • Developand implementcapable processes using Six Sigma tools
  • Developnecessary manufacturing processes onsite, ensuring optimization of layout and process flow
  • Developprocesses which fully meet our Regulatory and Quality requirements, working in close relationship with QA and Manufacturing/Business counterparts
  • Overseethe specification and purchase of capital equipment, ensuring balance between optimizing our technological capabilities and return on investment
  • Workclosely with R&D to ensure that design for manufacturability is a key consideration in initial product design
  • Understandand comply with all the regulations governing the quality systems
  • Demonstratean unwavering commitment to patient safety and product quality; ensureall direct reports are well-versed in their commitment to patient safety and product quality, up to date with their training requisites, and fully compliant with all pertinent regulations governing their functions
  • Developand managebudgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with corporate requirements




Required qualifications:



  • 10+ years of proven leadership experience including 5+ years direct people leadership experience leading technical teams
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Process development or new product development experience
  • Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of budgets



Preferred qualifications:



  • Ability to expand influence within Boston Scientific - collaborate across divisions and with new acquisitions
  • Manufacturing experience

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
