Village Behavioral Health is looking to add a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to our team! We are a residential treatment facility providing services to children and adolescents 10-17 struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. Located in a unique wilderness setting at the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains just 20 minutes outside of Knoxville, TN.

Full-Time

Village Behavioral Healthis a psychiatric residential treatment center that offers a full spectrum of treatment options for children and adolescents ages 10-17. A uniqueness of Village Behavioral Health is that we use nature as part of our therapeutic process. We are nestled in Louisville, TN right on the Tennessee River spread out over 65 wooded acres.

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Dayshift (7am-7pm) (number of bonuses are limited)

Pay Range:



  • $15 to $16/hour depending on education level and experience


Available Shifts:



  • FT Day Shift 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, with rotating weekends
  • FT Evenings 4:00 pm - 12:00 am, with rotating weekends
  • FT Nights 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, with rotating weekends
  • PRN (as needed) with a flat rate of $14.00/hour plus shift differentials


Shift Diffs range from $1.25 to $4.00 per hour.

Behavioral Health Technician responsibilities:



  • Providing direct care and close supervision of facility patients and documenting behavior
  • Developing positive, healthy relationships with patients and co-workers
  • Following facility policies & procedures, implementing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention as necessary
  • Act as a positive and healthy role model in using appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture


Hiring Requirements:



  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, 7-year criminal background screen, fingerprint screen, MVR screen, work history and reference check.
