Position Summary:

This role will be responsible for the inventory management for the Distribution Center to ensure we have the right product in the right place at the lowest landed cost. Additionally, this position provides the service-oriented function of timely and proactive communication and reporting of inventory issues to our brand and sales teams. While delivering the daily results, this role is continuously looking for process opportunities to improve our 3rd party warehouse operations. This leader will work closely with sales, supply chain and transportation, 3PL teams to achieve best in class results for service, cost and inventory levels.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Continually monitor Inventory Levels of sweet baked goods and snacks to include weeks of supply inventory, to ensure no shortages or overages
  • Lead and train product accountability metrics and performance inside the Business Unit
  • Ability to create inventory KPIs
  • Manage and optimize network inventory including analysis of excess, slow moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Leverage our distribution center partners to increase inventory accuracy
  • Train inventory leads on distribution centers to comply with FIFO and product accountability
  • Primary point of inventory contact for daily operations from 3PL DC facilities
  • Acts as the key problem solver for day-to-day inventory distribution issues both internally and externally.
  • Liaise with Sales Team to support efficient distribution practices and cost saving opportunities.
  • Responsible to ensure support product destruction and other distribution related needs to comply with food safety standards.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in system reports and changes (ie. BUSS, Oracle Ocloud, PCData)
  • Ensure inventory management adheres to Food Safety and Compliance guidelines
  • Responsible for all accounts payable of inventory space
  • Oversee the full inventory management process, including Grupo Bimbo audits and implement action plans
  • Responsible to execute CFARs(Cross-Functional Activity Review) for sourcing changes in the system for our Business Unit.

Position Requirements:

Education and Work History:

  • BA Business or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of warehouse and inventory management.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
