We are seeking a Sourcing Manager for Indirect Materials with a strong background in procurement, sourcing and supplier management in support of indirect procurement categories such as capital equipment for manufacturing and R&D, lab consumables services, freight & logistics, and other relevant spend to join our Global Supply Chain Team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the procurement activities and spend control related to all areas of the business requiring indirect material expenditure. This candidate will work with cross-functional teams and will play a key role in supporting organizational success in deploying supply chain management best practices and spend control. What you will be doing:
- Perform bidding in response to request for pricing/quoting for department needs in the assigned categories.
- Manage supplier relationships and lead negotiations for programs in this space.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for long term partnership.
- Provide support to department leaders and stakeholders for budget creation, management and spend control
- Ensure timely placement of orders and follow up to delivery escalations when required
- Conduct cost analysis, benchmarks for spend categories to identify potential savings opportunities using market data and use case requirements information.
- Provide feedback to the organization regarding new technology, process or materials breakthroughs that could positively impact the business
- Lead RFQs, SOW, and other contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and quality standards.
- Provide budgetary guidance for capex, product costs, market conditions, etc. as part of annual planning and financial analysis
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years of strategic sourcing experience in indirect sourcing or related procurement role for capex, lab operations, logistics, freight, packaging and consumables, leases and subscriptions,
- Experience in indirect procurement
- Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels
- Strong business acumen and comfortable to make effective decisions in ambiguity
- Hands-on ability to perform analysis on large amount of data to drive insights and decisions
- Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations with limited guidance from supply chain leadership
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, management, operations or supply chain is strongly preferred
- Direct experience with budget tracking and KPI management for defined categories in an established life science, medical device or bio technology related organizations
- Experience working within cross functional project teams with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, "GMP" or other regulated QMS manufacturing and procurement procedures and requirements
- Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems and planning tools such as Oracle, SAP, QAD or other commonly used manufacturing software
- Experience with total cost modeling for capital purchases and large scale purchases, multi-year procurement events
- Experience with sourcing and procurement a variety of capital equipment supporting manufacturing and lab use, lab supplies, PPE, MRO or other services such as janitorial or facilities related spend.

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
