Work Shift: Day Pay Type: Salary Hourly Rate (if applicable): N/A Targeted Base Salary Range (if applicable): $92,800.00 - $120,400.00 JOB OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for the development of various primary, secondary and bulk packaging materials. Working independently and with vendors, this role will discover, scope, develop, test and launch various packaging solutions across all Blue Diamond manufacturing locations and co-manufacturers globally. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this role will create innovative solutions to support all project types with a focus primarily on innovation (new products, renovations, line extensions, etc.) and cost savings. This role will also be responsible for supporting other types of projects like sustainability, capability building and quality improvements. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong project ownership, thought leadership, and technical expertise. RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with the Business teams and Operations to identify the packaging scope of each project based on the business goals and manufacturing capabilities. Collaborate with cross functional partners and commercialization teams to deliver packaging solutions which meet / exceed consumer and customer needs. Present design recommendations to key stakeholders to drive scope alignment with a focus on the true consumer need and cost implications. Understands the relationship between the package format / material, manufacturing processes and product / packaging interaction. Clearly communicate timing and risks associated with each scope option for each project. Lead all plant trials associated with your project list and complete any testing as needed. Help to enhance the capabilities of the Packaging team by developing functional tools and systems to drive efficiencies. Support sustainability initiatives by scoping and testing new materials to meet internal and external goals. Identify and drive cost savings opportunities, looking both at individual component level as well as process improvements, distribution, and manufacturing efficiencies. WHY BLUE DIAMOND?
