We're looking for a full-time, staff Nuclear Safety Professional to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Salem, NJ.
As the Nuclear Safety Professional, here's the work you'll do:
* Maintain and implement the accident prevention program on-site.
* Conduct new hire safety orientations.
* Monitor work activities to ensure safe practices and proper use of PPE.
* Develop and lead weekly staff safety meetings.
* Train employees on fostering a zero-injury safety culture.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
* Strong verbal communication, including one-on-one and group presentations.
* Excellent writing skills for reports and thorough documentation.
* Proficiency in research and resource utilization.
* Knowledge of Human Performance principles.
* Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
* Ability to conduct workplace observations effectively.
And if you have these qualifications:
* OSHA 510 (Construction) or OSHA 511 (General Industry) Standards Course.
* Additional specialized training (e.g., fall protection, scaffolding, rigging, confined spaces, competent person).
* OSHA 30-Hour Construction Standards Course or OSHA 500.
* Degree in Safety or related discipline (Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate's).
* Experience as a Nuclear Site Safety Coordinator or Engineer.
* Supervisory-level experience in Power/Construction (e.g., Supervisor, General Foreman, Foreman) with at least two outages completed.
* Great attitude and team player.
* Successful completion of background screening process (if applicable).
In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $54,000 - $154,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
