Lab Analyst

Kingwood, TX

Contract: 6 months

Pay: $33 hr.

Key Job Responsibilities:

This position requires the successful candidate to perform routine testing and analytical data entry. Instrumental analyses include the following types of equipment: gas chromatography, FTIR, TOC, Titrator, pH meter and others.

The job duties also include routine instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with LIMS databases, Chromatography Data Systems and SQC methods is a plus.

Basic computer skills (software applications: Word, Excel, etc.) are required.

Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

* Two-year Lab technical college degree

* Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)

* Strong mathematical and analytical skills

* Team player and excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent time-management and organizational skills

* Able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds

* Able to act in accordance with established safety guidelines and processes

Preferred:

* Analytical Chemistry college degree

* Two years of chemical laboratory experience
