Lawrence Berkeley National Lab's (LBNL) Information Technology (IT) Division has an opening for a Hardware Update Specialist to join the team. In this exciting role, you will perform tasks under the supervision of experienced network engineers in an effort to develop professional expertise in network engineering. They apply company policies and procedures to solve a variety of issues and work on problems of moderate scope. The networking group is responsible for all networking devices at LBL and the Hardware Update Specialist will assist in this mission by retiring older, out-of-date hardware and installing new hardware. They will be responsible for executing these replacement projects, coordinating the schedule and performing the technical work needed for the replacement. While other engineers in the group are tasked more generally, this role will focus solely on these replacement projects in order to deploy the new hardware at the pace needed to keep all LBNL's networking infrastructure up to date.
