The Opportunity
As the Technical Manager of Data & Analytics, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization's data initiatives while overseeing daily operations. This is an on-site contract-to-hire position
offering a unique opportunity to drive business growth through data-driven decision-making.
In this role, you'll combine your technical expertise with strong leadership skills to build scalable data pipelines, enhance data architecture, and foster collaboration across teams. You'll be working with a team of talented data engineers and analysts to deliver actionable insights and cutting-edge solutions that drive success.
What You'll Do:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Set clear goals, provide feedback, and drive professional development for team members.
- Recruit and retain top talent to ensure team success and scalability.
Technical Oversight:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Azure Data Factory
and Databricks. - Oversee database architecture and ensure data accessibility to support BI efforts.
- Implement scalable API-based integrations and optimize ETL/ELT processes.
- Monitor and enhance data quality, reliability, and system efficiency.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a liaison between the data engineering team and business units to align initiatives with objectives.
- Partner with analysts and developers to optimize data models and drive insights.
- Facilitate integration of external data sources to meet organizational needs.
Project & Process Management:
- Manage multiple data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and strategic alignment.
- Establish and enforce standards for system monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Promote DevOps practices
such as CI/CD, version control, and agile methodologies.
Who We're Looking For:
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years in data engineering
or analytics. - 5+ years in database architecture
and dimensional data modeling. - 2+ years managing or leading technical teams.
- Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL Server.
- Strong proficiency in Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in the automotive or insurance industries.
- Familiarity with NetSuite
or other ERP systems (API integrations). - Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft DP-203).
