Role Overview
The Sr Conference Planner is a critical support role within the global one on one team. Responsible for partnering across teams and ensuring successful delivery of one-on-one meetings at our conferences, creating exceptional customer experiences for internal and external stakeholders attending conferences. In addition, this role includes working closely with internal and external partners on technology-focused experience enhancement projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of all one-on-one role responsibilities, from initial stages of development, through onsite and conference wrap-up. (Including but not limited to capacity management, agenda configuration and management for web and mobile platforms, and support staff management)

  • Help to drive long- and short-term technology enhancements projects (i.e. testing new and existing experiences within technology platforms) and communicate outcomes and new processes to multiple stakeholders

  • Constantly evaluate the attendee experience and liaise with global team on change management within the team.

  • Travel to conference destination(s) while managing on-time delivery of role responsibilities during travel

  • Ensure an exceptional experience for all conference attendees having a One-on-One meeting with an Expert

  • Build productive relationships with internal and external clients, helping to support and train Gartner associates on the scheduling system

  • Effectively communicate, collaborate, and maintain relationships with clients and team stakeholders

  • Include tracking of issues, partnering with various teams

  • Improve data/reporting functionality

  • Track key measurements, impact on team

  • Help build brand awareness and understanding of Expert Management team across Business Solutions and IT

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 2+ years of Experience working in a corporate environment

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload

  • Superior poise and judgment (demonstrated "grace under pressure") with both internal and external constituencies

  • Ability to work through ambiguous situations with little information

  • Comfort working with and ability to upward manage senior executives

  • Strong client focused, customer service skills

  • Team player - reliable and accountable

  • High sense of urgency, responsiveness

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work issues through to resolution

  • Attention to detail

  • Communicative and collaborative

  • Innate interest in technology. Fully competent in Microsoft Office Excel and/or Google Sheets

  • Competent Project Manager

  • Willingness to travel to live events as needed; approximately 10 conferences annually

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 54,000 USD - 84,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
