Lead Event Content Manager

The Lead Event Content Manager is responsible for the successful creation and delivery of high-quality session content and programming for Workiva's corporate events, including Workiva Amplify. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated expertise in building event agendas and content strategies that balance complex audience needs with strategic business and marketing objectives. As Workiva continues to grow and scale its global event presence, the Lead Event Content Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring alignment, quality, and process efficiency across all event content and related activations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all aspects of event content strategy, planning, and execution, including track development, session mix, presentation development and reviews

  • Ensure event themes, agenda, content, and messaging align with strategic marketing objectives and overall brand narrative

  • Oversee and evaluate all session content for quality, messaging pull-through, and adherence to Workiva brand guidelines

  • Develop and own presentation timelines while managing stakeholders to ensure timely completion of key deliverables

  • Partner with executive leadership and agency partners on general session/keynote development

  • Provide internal speakers with feedback and coaching on presentation structure, narrative flow, and delivery

  • Contribute to booth naming, theater sessions, and other expo hall activations to ensure connectivity with session content

  • Analyze both quantitative (e.g., session attendance, attendee traffic patterns) and qualitative (e.g., post-event surveys) data to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Make the most of our event content by working with Content and Product Marketing to repurpose sessions into derivative assets that can be leveraged throughout the year

  • Stay on top of industry trends and recommend best practices on event programming, content structure, and audience engagement

  • Inform event logistics related to sessions, including room allocation, capacity, set-up, and AV needs

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

  • 8+ years of content strategy, content marketing, events management, or closely related experience

  • Experience in the B2B technology industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in driving agenda and session content development for large-scale corporate events

  • Exceptional communication skills with prior executive script writing and/or keynote development experience

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams across a global SaaS organization

  • Ability to deliver big picture thinking on event agenda and themes while diving into individual sessions to ensure content quality and attendee value

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to make informed decisions based on event data analysis and reporting

  • Adept at managing multiple priorities, diverse stakeholders, and tight deadlines

  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • 25% travel for company events and internal meetings

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office

How You'll Be Rewarded

Salary range in the US: $133,000.00 - $214,000.00

A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
