JOB MISSION:
As a Senior Analyst in the Advanced Analytics organization, you will be responsible for analyzing current business and product processes to continually identify areas for efficiencies and improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering tools and actionable insights to improve and streamline the New Balance & Value Chain ecosystem. Requires cross functional business requirement gathering & data analysis to build appropriate reports to drive the business engine. The role will also encompass predictive analytics and data modeling support as New Balance expands its data landscape. Responsibilities also include creation of manuals, procedures, and process maps to educate, train, and document reporting methodology. Must be able to seamlessly operate at all levels within the organization up to and including Senior Leadership.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Acknowledged as an expert in your abilities to gather requirements, understand approach to data pull, pulling & manipulation of data, and packaging data for customer in appropriate manner.
* Act as technical SME/consultant for groups across New Balance in regards to source data, customer process, data manipulation, and analysis techniques (modeling, predictive analytics, data science, machine learning, etc.)
* Supports the New Balance Analytics Center of Excellence (COE). Focusing on standardization of analytics approaches, data methodologies, and the mentoring/development of analytics talent.
* Participates in the strategic design, development and delivery of ideas, programs, and projects using advanced analytics. Utilizes strong problem solving and project management techniques.
* Has ability to see data and intuitively understand if data looks correct. Utilizes a variety of tools and techniques to accomplish data validation & visualization.
* Ensures report requirements are translated, formatted and integrated into project design and understood by key stakeholders. Strong understanding of common filters and logic used across various business groups.
* Also responsible for creation/maintenance/standardization of documentation around reporting assumptions, filters, and logic.
* Develops and maintains tools for data driven decisions & KPIs across New Balance.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

* Bachelor's degree or greater in engineering/technical/analytic field plus a minimum of 7 years of performing analyst duties.
* Inspired to seek out, learn, adopt, and adapt new technical skills within the rapidly evolving Analytics space.
* Expert in Data Visualization/Business Intelligence software packages and ability to mine & blend data from various sources. (Spotfire, PowerBI)
* Strong SQL/Snowflake expertise with ability to pull data, join data, and analyze data within SQL/Snowflake. This includes Nested Queries, Pivots, different levels of aggregation, UNIONs and JOINS.
* Experience in analytic scripting languages and predictive analytics preferred: (R, Python, HTML)
* Ability to effectively interact/collaborate/problem-solve with customers at all levels of the organization.
* Complex project management and organizational skills are essential due to evolving fast paced environment.
* Must have deep understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Access, Visio, Sharepoint, Teams).
* Desired skills include machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence.
* Demonstrated analytical capabilities and business acumen. Six Sigma Black/Green belt or technical certifications candidates preferred.

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
