Motor Shop Supervisor

Location: Phoenix, AZ, 85034

We are seeking a Shop Supervisor to assist with the coordination of projects in our busy repair facility. The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and a detail-oriented work ethic capable of managing deadlines and customer interactions. Prior experience in the electro-mechanical or industrial equipment repair sector is preferred.

Areas of Responsibilities



  • Coordination of project from receipt through shipment
  • Manage available resource allocation and timeline for high throughput
  • Daily monitoring and reporting on project progress, problems and solutions
  • Assist with and monitor procurement of materials
  • Collaborate with peers to establish and monitor seamless workflow
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure successful project completion
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures including health and safety



Skills Required



  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of electro-mechanical or industrial equipment repair within this business sector
  • Ability to make high-impact technical decisions and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Experienced using project scheduling software
  • Ability to interface professionally with internal & external customers as well as peers
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are also needed



Highly Desired Skills



  • Prior experience as an industrial repair craftsman or similar role
  • Certificates or degrees in technical project management or related engineering disciplines
  • Engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical Power, Industrial
  • AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) or Lean Manufacturing
  • Previous OSHA 10 or 30 training
