What will I do as a Strategic Planning Specialist at The GIANT Company?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesizing Data: Translate complex data and findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Data Collection and Evaluation: Utilize various tools and methodologies to gather relevant data from primary and secondary sources. Evaluate data quality and relevance to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments to anticipate market shifts and identify potential opportunities or threats to inform strategic decisions.
  • Competitive Positioning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine our competitive positioning strategies based on intelligence gathered.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and compelling reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in project management, economics, Organizational Development, Business, Marketing or Communication
  • Experience:
    • 1-3 years of experience in project management, market planning, operations, or business insights.
    • Proven experience in managing a project or process from early ideation to implementation
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven recommendations.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with market research methodologies and competitive analysis frameworks (e.g., SWOT analysis, Porter's Five Forces).
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality in work.
    • Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, IDW, CDW, Circana/Unify).
    • Knowledge of project management software (Trello, To-Do's, Smartsheet) strongly encouraged but not required

What are the details?

  • Hybrid Remote: This position is based out of Carlisle, Pa. and will require 3 days a week in the office.
  • Reporting: The Business Insights Analyst reports into the Manager of Planning & Insights within the Strategy team.
