Purpose

As the Standards Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in generating and documenting standard Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our Water Engineering and Operations teams. With a strong focus on technical writing and collaboration, you will create comprehensive manuals, guides, and standards to support training and documentation control. This role will evolve to involve the development and coordination of standards across all Liberty water and wastewater utilities, ensuring compliance and adherence to established records retention and operational requirements.

Accountabilities
  • Develop, document, and maintain O&M Plans and SOPs for Engineering and Operations, ensuring clarity and consistency across all materials
  • Collaborate with technical experts to create comprehensive manuals, guides, and standards to support training and operational processes
  • Utilize various forms of media to aid in documentation and training efforts, ensuring accessibility and usability for all stakeholders
  • Support the development and coordination of standards across Liberty's water and wastewater utilities, fostering collaboration within a matrix organization
  • Periodically review standards usage to ensure compliance with established protocols and identify areas for improvement
  • Build and document compliance-related plans (e.g., O&M, Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Vulnerability Assessment (VA), and Emergency Operations Plan (EOP)) to meet regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with regional leadershipand local teamsto ensure that work management, staffing, codes, and compliance activities align with Liberty's defined standards
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing or a document controls
  • Ability to successfully manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines are met
  • Proven ability to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation
  • Experience collaborating with professionals in technical fields
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively conveyinformation to diverse audiences
