The Division of Safety and Facilities aims to provide a safe and secure campus environment for all members of the university community through best-in-class technological and physical infrastructure, proactive assessment and analysis, and a caring team of professionals dedicated to upholding the university's values with the highest level of care.
The Assistant Escort Service Supervisor assists with the functional supervision of, and participates in, the escort services provided by the university. The core responsibilities of this role are:
- To assist with the provision of day-to-day functional supervision of the escort service drivers, to enforce operating procedures, to monitor radio transmissions and dispatching, to escalate complaints about the transportation service, to partner with supervisor to prepare schedules, and to stand in when the supervisor is absent.
- This position will also participate in the current and future training of drivers based on needs assessment, will ensure vehicle pre and post-trip inspections are done, and will work to provide excellent customer service at all times. This role may also perform the duties of lower positions as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a High school diploma/GED, or equivalent combination of training and experience plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
