Department's Website: The Director must stay apprised of legal career trends and changes in the Arkansas and national legal markets and develop new career services and professional development initiatives in response to evolving employer and student needs. Develop and implement strategies to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality career advising and programming to students. Provide individualized and effective career advice to students and recent graduates regarding job search strategy, including identification of potential employers and career paths most consistent with their personal and professional goals and priorities. Develop and maintain job search resources for students. Supervise members of the CSO team. Collaborate with members of the School of Law community on program development and delivery, as well as networking and mentoring opportunities. Plan and organize all on-campus recruiting programs and job fairs. Review and supervise resume collection and job posting services. Work with employers to develop opportunities for School of Law students and recent graduates. Engage in strategic outreach and relationship-building with legal employers locally and nationally. Conduct employment data tracking, collection, and reporting under multiple reporting regimes (ABA, NALP, US News), audited annually by the ABA. Develop strategies regarding internal and external office communications. Engage with NALP and other relevant local and national professional career services organizations to remain current in trends and best practices. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
