Responsibilities

The Account Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining business sold, including new customers and upsells within existing customers across the product portfolio. This role will serve as the liaison between sales and operations to ensure successful timely implementation of new business.

  • Liaises between sales, operations, client and other stakeholders as required to ensure the successful implementation of business products/programs.
  • Creates demand for the organization's products and services through effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods.
  • Promotes and supports a positive, professional public image of the organization.
  • Identifies new up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Meets deadlines and works within established budget(s).
  • Collaborates with the sales team, operations team and other departments working on designated account(s).
  • Monitors and reports on organization's progress towards established goals.
  • Provides support to support to peers and product team.
  • Ensures the products are in compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum three years of experience in account management.
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and resourcefulness.
  • Prior marketing and/or sales experience required.
  • Experience working in the Healthcare field is highly preferred.
  • Must possess above average relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and interpret state/federal regulations related to health insurance and healthcare.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to effectively convey information.
  • Proven record of successfully managing complex accounts that resulted in profit and/or cost savings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintain an effective collaborative working relationship with peers and support staff.
