Alliant Insurance is hiring an Account Coordinator - Group Benefits for our EMG Insurance Brokerage office in Houston, TX! https://emgbrokerage.com/ POSITION HIGHLIGHTS - EMG is seeking an Account Coordinator with brokerage experience to service middle-market accounts with enrollment, renewals, billing, servicing, and more! * Full-time, benefits-eligible * In office Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM. * Office location: 10000 Memorial Dr. Suite 200 Houston, TX 77024 * Cover letters are encouraged SUMMARY Responsible for supporting sales advisors in processing new business applications, renewing existing business, and coordinating the day-to-day account services for client groups. Serves as an advocate for clients through positive relationships with carriers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides administrative support and excellent customer service through professional relationships with clients and carrier representatives. * Creates census files for proposals and proactively monitors annual group renewals. * Promptly processes and submits all new group or member enrollments, changes, terminations or annual renewals; reviews information received and works with sales advisors and groups if documentation corrections are needed to ensure coverage approval by requested effective date. * Researches and resolves client inquiries concerning service accounts; coordinates resources to proactively address the client's management needs. * Coordinates all Request for Proposals between multiple carriers and lines of coverage; monitoring the return, review and distribution of all quotes to producers/groups. * Processes Agent of Record changes and maintains updated group contact information. * Monitors and prepares monthly delinquency reports; communicates groups at risk for termination to producer. * Reviews, understands and stays apprised of all carrier product updates, requirements, processes, portals, forms and deadlines. * Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information on a timely basis). * Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates. * Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Two (2) or more years related work experience Group 1 Insurance license SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone and listening skills. Knowledge and understanding of group products; and the ability to explain it clearly to producers and group administrators. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and carrier submission deadlines. Exceptional problem solving and time management skills. Critical thinking skills and good judgement to quickly determine and prioritize key issues. Continuous learning via carrier updates and webinars. Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork. Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
