CNC Machinist

Pay Rate: up to 32-40.00

We are looking for a skilled CNC Setup Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up CNC machines, including loading raw materials, mounting fixtures, and aligning cutting tools to meet project specifications. This role is integral to ensuring efficient and accurate production.

   Machine Setup:

   
   
   
   
   • Load raw materials onto CNC machines based on project requirements.
   • Mount and secure fixtures and workpieces for machining operations.
   • Align and install cutting tools, ensuring proper orientation and setup.
   
   
   
   
2. 
   

   Tool Calibration & Maintenance:

   
   
   
   
   • Inspect and adjust tools to ensure precise alignment and performance.
   • Perform pre-operation checks and minor maintenance as needed.
   
   
   
   
3. 
   

   Operation Preparation:

   
   
   
   
   • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings.
   • Input correct machining parameters into CNC machines according to specifications.

   Quality Assurance:

   
   
   
   
   • Conduct first-run inspections to confirm proper alignment and machining accuracy.
   • Monitor machines during operation for any issues and make adjustments as necessary.

   Safety & Efficiency:

   
   
   
   
   • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational standards to ensure a safe working environment.
   • Optimize setup processes to reduce downtime and increase productivity.

  • Prior experience in CNC setup or machining in a manufacturing environment is required.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machine operation and tool alignment techniques.
  • Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming basics is a plus.

Preferred Competencies:

• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, including G-code programming, cutting tool selection, and machine capabilities.
• Ability to interpret complex measurements and calculations related to machining
• Accurately interpreting technical drawings (blueprints) and specifications
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to machine operation and programming
• Maintaining high precision and quality standards in production
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for program creation
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma and min 5 years experience
