• Make an Impact! The nurse navigator in the gender-affirming surgery program coordinates care and referrals for new transgender patients and provides ongoing communication to patients being evaluated for surgical intervention. The nurse navigator provides direct patient care to the patient population through health promotion and health education activities, with focused attention on improving the patient experience. The nurse navigator partners with 2 surgeons, 1 PA, and 1 surgery scheduler.

Position: Nurse Navigator, Plastic Surgery
Shift: Full Time, Day Shift

Experience:
3-5 years of nursing experience
Experience in the care of patients receiving gender affirming care preferred
Experience with insurance processes or precertification and benefits coverage also

Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required

Licensures/Certifications:
PA State license as a Registered Professional Nurse required OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
