Shift: 36 hours a month, including one weekend

The EMT is a leader, and integral component, of the pre-hospital care provider team, providing basic life support and facilitating advanced life support to any individual in need of care in time of sudden illness or injury. In this fast-paced role, you would provide emergent care in a pre-hospital setting, maintaining treatment standards and protocols. Use your quick thinking skills and the ability to work closely as a team to provide the best patient care possible as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Experience
- Minimum of two years of pre-hospital basic life support experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medications carried for use by the EMT-Paramedic in the treatment and management of neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients consistent with level of training and certification.
- Knowledge of basic and advanced life support and resuscitation procedures for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients consistent with level of training and certification.
- Knowledge, ability, and skills necessary to appropriately assess and manage care.
- Knowledge, ability, and skills necessary to appropriately operate basic equipment and assist with the operation of advanced equipment.
Required Education & Licensures/Certifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved EMT-MAST program or its equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of practical and written examinations administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
- Current Pennsylvania certification as an EMT
- Current driver's license valid in Pennsylvania with a copy on file.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Hazmat Awareness and EVOC
- Other certifications are encouraged, such as: NREMT, PHTLS, BTLS, Fire I or equivalent.
