Hardware Technician, Desktop Deployment

Responsibilities:
-Installs, configures, deploys and maintains hardware including but not limited to thin clients, laptops, desktops, tablets and computer peripherals such as desktop printers, headsets, webcams, etc.
-Provisions pooled virtual desktops for users
- Performs hardware repair and maintenance as needed; files warranty repairs as needed with manufacturers
-Provides end user support to employees when installing new or replacement hardware
-Monitors and resolves incident queue of user issues as they relate to hardware components
Skills/Qualifications:
-Knowledge of common Information Technology concepts, practices and procedures, including ticket-based tracking and ITIL framework; A+ certification a plus
-Proficient in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software
-Basic understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting
-Strong communication skills and analytical competence
-Knowledge and experience with virtual desktop infrastructure preferred
-Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow perferred
Physical Requirements:
-Requires lifting hardware and physical installation of cabling and computer components. Must be able to lift and install hardware with and without assistance.
Protective's targeted salary range for this position is $43,761 to $48,500. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective's total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities [through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
