What you'll do:

In the role of Data Analytics Project Manager, you will be part of the high-performing Data Analytics team.

Project Planning and Management



  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.


Team Coordination



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Data Science Team, bridging communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support the team in prioritizing tasks, managing workloads, and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Lead regular check-ins, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to ensure project progress and alignment.


Stakeholder Management



  • Partner with business leaders to gather requirements, define use cases, and identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver clear and concise project updates, insights, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and align with business objectives.


Process Improvement



  • Promote and implement best practices in project management, including Agile or Scrum methodologies tailored to data science workflows.
  • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, identifying areas to enhance team processes or workflows.
  • Advocate for tools and resources that improve productivity and project execution.

Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Project Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines preferred


Required Qualifications:



  • 5 or more years of project management experience, preferably with data science, analytics, or technical teams
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project). Excellent communication skills to present complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with data science workflows, tools, and concepts (e.g., Python, R, machine learning, big data).
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum Master).
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with generative AI solutions and their integration into business workflows.
  • Familiarity with insurance-specific data sources, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of database design principles for creating scalable data solutions.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
