The Life Enrichment Float is a flexible and dynamic role that provides activity programming support across multiple senior living communities, focusing on assisted living and memory care residents. Life Enrichment Float Responsibilities:Program Delivery
- Facilitate group and individual activities, including recreational, social, educational, and wellness-focused programs.
- Adapt programs to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities of assisted living and memory care residents.
- Promote resident engagement through music therapy, art projects, fitness exercises, reminiscence activities, and sensory stimulation.
Community Support
- Travel to various senior living communities to provide temporary coverage for Life Enrichment staff.
- Assist in planning and implementing activity calendars that align with residents' interests and needs.
- Act as a resource for teams, ensuring programs meet the company's life enrichment standards.
Resident Engagement
- Build strong relationships with residents, encouraging participation and fostering a sense of belonging.
- Tailor activities to individual preferences and abilities, especially for those with cognitive impairments.
- Observe and document residents' responses to activities to inform future programming.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Report any changes in resident behavior, health, or well-being to appropriate staff.
Life Enrichment Float Qualifications:Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification or coursework in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in life enrichment and activities coordination.
- Experience working with seniors, particularly those with dementia, is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Creativity and flexibility in developing and adapting programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working with seniors.
- Ability to work independently in a variety of community settings.
Additional Requirements
- Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain Class C Driver's License to drive the site bus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between communities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Work Environment
- Frequent travel between senior living communities.
- Active role requiring physical activity, including lifting, standing, and assisting residents during programs.
