Maintenance Mechanic
The role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to provide the necessary skill sets required to perform the maintenance and repairs to preserve the physical assets of the Building, Systems, and Equipment under the direction of the Chief Engineer and Facility Manager. The Ideal candidate has strong electrical and facilities maintenance experience in addition to having a Universal Refrigerant license. Candidate must enjoy working as part of a team, within a structured environment, with a strong emphasis on trouble shooting, safety, planning and documentation. This position is responsible for operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems and performance of preventative and unscheduled maintenance, as directed to facilities equipment to include refrigeration equipment, heat exchangers, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, hot water systems; chilled water; boilers; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment (any infrastructure systems and equipment that may be applicable). Special projects occasionally come up, including scheduled maintenance shutdowns. Candidate must be flexible to off-shift and on call support as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus. Basic computer literacy required; ability to use Microsoft programs like Outlook, Word and Excel is a plus; the job requires using other proprietary or specialized programs (on-the-job training provided).
