Responsibilities

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Team at our Rochester, NY location. This position will report directly to the site Engineering Manager. The Howmet Aerospace Summer Internship Program, will include engaging and impactful project or projects, lunch & learns presented by organizational leaders and tours of our manufacturing plant & processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Support technical team in NPI (new product introduction) & production trials for OEM customers such as GE Aviation, Pratt Whitney, Rolls Royce, and others.
  • Assist in development of root cause & corrective action analysis
  • Assist technical team in data acquisition and trend analysis
  • Define and develop acceptance testing requirements for technical team review
  • Assist in the development and deployment of systems to capture end user requirements
  • Promotes, maintains, and enforces safe and healthy working conditions for all employees in accordance with regulatory requirements & Company standards
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications
Qualifications:



  • 3.0 GPA and above
  • Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity or prior work experience
  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Business or Engineering with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and May 2027.
  • 60 credits towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing preferred but not required
  • Experience with AutoCAD & Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities at the same time while focusing and carrying out tasks in a timely & accurate manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers and top management representatives




Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Salary Range: $22-$23 /hour depending on experience
