Information Technology Services:

UCF IT is the central information technology organization at the University of Central Florida, providing technology services and support to faculty, staff, and students. Reporting to the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, UCF IT comprises several key departments, including Infrastructure & Operations, Telecommunications, Enterprise Application Development, Information Security, Instructional Resources, and Client Services. UCF IT collaborates with university stakeholders through governance frameworks and advisory committees to ensure alignment with UCF's strategic goals. With a focus on innovation, security, and excellent service delivery, UCF IT supports the university's mission of teaching, learning, research, and community engagement.

The Opportunity:

UCF IT seeks applications for an Application Systems Analyst II to join their team! The Application Systems Analyst III reports to the Assistant Director, Applications Management. This position acts as a subject matter expert and is responsible for the business requirements analysis specifications, testing and on-going maintenance support of the Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Integration Hub (IH) production applications. Additionally, this position is also responsible for the support of Financial and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems historical reference databases. This position helps plan, schedule, and manage application Tools upgrades and patches. The position provides leadership with system performance and data analysis to support decision-making.

This position is a position of trust for UCF IT, managing vital information systems and data for the University of Central Florida. The selected candidate should be able to coordinate and participate in all aspects of computer systems development with all involved personnel and/or agencies. It is vital that this role has advanced knowledge of system analysis and design techniques.

Responsibilities:


  • Conducts stakeholder meeting to determine system requirements, translates requirements into functional system specifications, components, estimates and project plans. Manages deliverables and project documentation and facilitates project meetings.

  • Reviews and analyzes UCF system processes, administrative business processes, and procedures for re-engineering and automation, and identifies improvements. Provides analytical data to track system and team performance.

  • Provides content for the development of training and conducts training when required.

  • Updates test plans, builds test scenarios, and performs systems testing for production support, maintenance, or upgrades.

  • Maintains effective documentation based on standards for system configuration, business process documents, functional specifications, business process diagrams, data flow diagrams, and flowcharts.

  • Investigates errors, diagnoses problems, documents the problem, tracks issues, and recommends solutions. Coordinates problem resolution with development or systems support team members and other UCF support resources. Performs diagnostics, troubleshoots problems, and escalates problems to vendors.

  • Performs other duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree preferred.

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Deep understanding of the Oracle Campus Solutions software system lifecycle.

  • Extensive experience performing data mapping and business systems analysis for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, CRM, Interaction Hub, and related software systems.

  • Demonstrated abilities and understanding of the UCF student systems, patching cycles, and tools upgrade testing processes.

  • Experience in managing projects / processes, working independently.

  • Mentoring and providing feedback on the work of junior professionals.

  • Experience with the following PeopleSoft applications: Campus Solutions, Customer Relations Management (CRM), and Appsian.

  • Experience with any of the following software applications: Pathlock, GoAnywhere, Integration Hub, Informatica, and LEAP Server systems.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

This is not a remote position; 1-3 hybrid workdays per week may be available following a probationary period, depending on work duties and supervisor approval. Based on candidate experience and compensation analysis, the ideal candidate's salary will likely fall between $75,809 and $92,000.
