Project Manager - School of Nursing, Office of Strategy

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking a qualified Project Manager to support the Associate Dean for Strategy in managing and, at times, leading various projects that impact the School's strategic direction. Recently ranked 2nd (tie) by US News & World Report for our Nurse Anesthesia DNP program, 4th (tie) for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and 5th for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner DNP program, the School of Nursing continues to be one of the most reputable and well-known nursing education schools in the country for both undergraduate and graduate level programs.


Job Summary

Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of multiple, small routine projects or a moderately complex project. Assists in developing timelines and ensures adherence to deadlines. Manages financial aspects of projects and other administrative duties. Handles external correspondence and drafts reports and other communications.


Essential Functions

* Plan, manage, and execute complex, high-impact projects that align with the school's strategic goals, including recruitment and enrollment, marketing, communications, and other initiatives across the School.
* Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
* Act as a liaison between leadership, faculty, staff, and external partners to facilitate communication, gather input, and ensure alignment of project goals.
* Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address challenges proactively.
* Prepare and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track progress and measure project success.
* Develop and standardize project management workflows and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability of projects.
* Assist the Associate Dean for Strategy in developing and implementing strategic initiatives related to the school's strategy, sustainability, recruitment, enrollment, marketing, and other efforts.
* Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform decision-making and project prioritization.
* Coordinate with vendors and service providers, as needed, including drafting requests for proposals (RFPs) and evaluating proposals.
* Ensure compliance with university policies and industry best practices throughout project lifecycles.


Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
