About the Role

MWH is currently seeking a Mobility, Benefits, & Compensation Associate to join our Human Resources Team. In this role you will play a key part in managing and optimizing the company's global mobility programs while supporting benefits and compensation strategies. This role focuses on ensuring smooth transitions for employees relocating domestically and internationally, maintaining compliance with regulatory, legal, and tax requirements, while delivering a positive employee experience. The associate will also contribute strategically and operationally to support broader HR initiatives.

Essential Functions

Global Mobility



  • Employee Support: Act as the first point of contact for employees undergoing domestic and international relocations, providing guidance on established policies and procedures. Escalating any complex cases as needed.
  • Mobility and Immigration Coordination: Work closely with immigration specialists and mobility vendors to facilitate visa applications, housing arrangements, and other mobility-related items as needed.
  • Policy Administration: Assist in implementing and maintaining global mobility policies, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Documentation and Tracking: Maintain accurate records of mobility cases, including relocation timelines, cost tracking, exceptions, and compliance requirements. Issue and maintain mobility agreements and immigration documents to ensure compliance. Facilitate internal paperwork and approvals. Manage Immigration documents including combining PDFs and managing the required Immigration Master File.
  • Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external service providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of relocation and immigration services.
  • Data Management: Ensure HRIS, logs, and other systems are updated with accurate mobility and immigration data. Assist with reporting and collection of data along with reconciliation of data from vendor systems. Participate in any associated audits or regulatory activities.



Benefits and Compensation



  • Benefits Administration: Provide administrative support for employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates for multiple programs including 401k, health, wellness, STD/LTD, life insurances.
  • Compensation Assistance: Support compensation processes, such as data collection for salary benchmarking, preparation for annual reviews, off cycle salary requests, internal equity analysis, and managing bonus and award programs.
  • Employee Support: Address employee inquiries related to benefits and compensation programs, escalating complex cases as needed. Participate in organizing and presenting open enrollment and wellness activities. Manage leave of absence programs.


  • Data Management: Ensure HRIS, logs, and other systems are updated with accurate benefits and compensation data. Assist with reporting and collection of data along with reconciliation of data from vendor systems. Participate in any associated audits or regulatory activities.



Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, international studies, immigration law, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in global mobility, immigration, benefits, compensation, or HR.
  • Experience with domestic and international mobility, benefits, and compensation.
  • Cultural awareness to understand cross-cultural challenges and adaptability to support employees relocating internationally.
  • Basic understanding of global mobility concepts including relocation policies, tax compliance, travel programs, GSA rates/per diems, and immigration.
  • Basic understanding of benefits plans including, health, dental, vision, life insurance, wellness, & 401k.
  • Basic understanding of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits such as ERISA, ACA, FMLA, and COBRA.
  • Familiarity with Job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and compensation surveys such as Mercer, ERI, Runzheimer, PayScale, PAS, or Radford.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems or proprietary systems providing benefits administration, immigration assistance, and global mobility management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple cases, prioritize tasks, make deadlines, and great follow-up focus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address employee inquires or program gaps. Ability to make strategic recommendations for improvement based on employee feedback.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially excel for data tracking and analysis).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, records, and reports with confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees along with an ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner.
  • In depth understanding of regulations and compliance aspects regarding mobility, benefits, and compensation.
