Job Description

Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to work directly with youth while sharing your passion for gymnastics, dance, or cheer? If you're seeking a fun and engaging part-time job within a collaborative team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Gymnastics Instructor, you will provide a safe, enjoyable, and progressive gymnastics experience for participants ranging from beginner classes for early childhood to school-age youth interested in refining their skills. On a typical day, you will:



  • Monitor open gymnastics sessions to ensure safe activities.
  • Support the setup and takedown of equipment.
  • Assist with curriculum-based classes and help lead the instruction.
  • Build authentic relationships to enhance participant and member satisfaction.
  • Motivate and inspire youth to learn and improve their skills.
  • Provide high-quality instruction through thoughtful demonstration and practice.


To thrive in this position, you will need:



  • Experience working with youth in an instructional setting, or previous personal experience in gymnastics, dance, or cheer that fuels your passion for the sport.
  • The ability to physically demonstrate skills appropriate for the level being taught.
  • Strong communication skills to provide effective guidance, redirection, and encouragement to participants.

Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • No experience necessary, we'll train you!
  • Pay range depends on experience
  • Looking for Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 3:30pm to 7:00pm and Saturdays & Sundays from 8:00am to 12:00pm



ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS



  • Must be able to see and hear an emergency
  • Ability to lift equipment and maneuver equipment and weight up to 55 lbs or that of a small to average size child
  • Must be able to navigate the uneven surfaces on the gym floor
