Position Summary:

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Sr. Maintenance Specialist position is located at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. The incumbent's responsibilities are diversified covering several various mechanical crafts with included: electrical work, carpentry maintenance, touch up painting, plumbing, and roofing. In addition, duties will include assisting mechanics in larger jobs and moving of university equipment and materials. The Sr. Maintenance Specialist will perform the skills encompassed in these secondary jobs such as snow removal outlets re-lamping, switches, ballasts, plumbing fixtures, drains, traps, flushometers, painting, etc. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
At least 2 years of directly related experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Ability to repair pipes, fittings, faucets, flushometers, toilets, sinks, drains, etc.
*Ability to repair/replace outlets, switches, fuses, ballasts, lights.
*Ability to perform paint-related tasks such as preparing surface areas and applying paint.
*Ability to Clean/change filters, clean diffusers, change belts, grease motors etc.
*Ability to maintain organized storage areas and mechanical rooms.
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and establish guidelines.

This position requires a background check.
