Civil Service Title- Administrative Engineer Minimum Qualifications 1. A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer and six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity. Preferred Skills
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form. To be appointed to an Administrative Engineer position in the Division of Bridges, candidates must possess two years of experience in supervising engineers in Bridge Design, Bridge Construction, Bridge Maintenance or Bridge Inspection. A current New York State Professional Engineer registration certificate must be presented at the time of appointment and must be maintained for the duration of employment. 55a Program
