Introduction

As a Platform Engineer, We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure as code (IaC), backend development, and application delivery. This role is crucial to building a scalable, secure, and reliable hybrid platform supporting multiple applications across Azure and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will focus on developing reusable pipelines, infrastructure automation, and tools to enhance developer experience, streamline delivery, and maintain a secure and compliant ecosystem.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, ensuring reusability, scalability, security, and self-service capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise Cloud, focusing on Azure Landing Zones, networking, and governance with Azure Policy.

  • Manage Kubernetes workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including container orchestration, Nginx ingress configurations, and Helm charts.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (C#, Python, Node.js, or Go) to build, maintain, and integrate APIs and automation tools.

  • Write production-quality code to extend pipeline functionality, improve platform reliability, and implement custom solutions beyond basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell or Bash).

  • Collaborate with teams to integrate DevSecOps principles, implementing security gates (e.g., Veracode, Kyverno, Palo Alto) and pre- and post-validation checks in pipelines.

  • Build small APIs and automation tools to enhance platform reliability, reduce toil, and improve developer workflows.

  • Monitor and optimize platform health using Dynatrace and other observability tools.

  • Work on hybrid platform initiatives to streamline delivery pipelines and ensure consistency between cloud and on-premises systems.

  • Enhance hybrid system observability by addressing monitoring gaps and implementing disaster recovery and failover strategies across cloud and on-premises systems.

  • Work cross-functionally with teams like network/security engineers, DBAs, and application developers to ensure seamless integration across hybrid environments.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint cycles, mob programming sessions, and regular demos of platform improvements.

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote positon.

Required for This Opportunity

  • Proficiency in at least one backend development language (C#,Python,Node.js, orGo) to write robust, maintainable, and scalable code for APIs, tools, and platform enhancements.

    Use of Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Enterprise.

  • Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Nginx ingress controllers.

  • Familiar with GitOps such as FluxCD and ArgoCD, as well as Kubernetes tooling such as Carpenter, Reloader, Kustomize, Azure CSI, and Secret Vaulting solutions

  • Experience with of Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, and Azure Traffic Manager

  • Working knowledge of Terraform Enterprise Cloud and policy-as-code tools (e.g., Azure Policy, Kyverno, Palo Alto).

    Knowledge of API Management solutions like Azure API Management, IBM API Central

  • Understanding of web hosting containers Nginx, Caddy, IIS

    Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or Datadog.

  • Familiarity with trunk-based development and security platforms like Veracode.

  • Understanding hybrid cloud platforms, including on-premises tools likeBIPIP F5andOctopus Deploy.

  • Understanding of Application Artifact Solutions like Jfrog, Azure Artifact

  • Understanding of Application Configuration for C#, React.Js, Python leveraging Variable Groups, Library Sets and or Azure Configuration

  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

  • Terraform Associate Certification

  • Docker Certified Associate
