Director of Technical Implementation - Landscape Architecture

Remote or Hybrid work for this position considered on a case-by-case basis. In-office presence preferred.

Position Overview:

The Director of Technical Implementation will lead a collaborative atmosphere and exhibit a passion for design, problem solving and project implementation. The primary function of this role will be to lead design projects, guide design strategy, and direct technical delivery and implementation of projects. Develop, integrate, and implement internal technical production & delivery initiatives, including standardization of production software workflows, design delivery procedures, and efficiency measures. Candidate will provide consultation to clients and apply expertise to guide project teams in research, preparation and delivery of plans, design documentation, details, and specifications. Candidate will implement & administer standard QAQC processes. The Director of Technical Implementation serves as a mentor and fosters a culture that encourages employee growth and engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Consults with clients to gather specifications, contribute expertise, make recommendations, and deliver design proposals.
• Oversees and produces project designs which may include arrangement of hardscape, landscape, construction details & specifications, architectonic configurations, drainage, grading, irrigation, and utilities coordination.
• Establishes and leads QA/QC efforts for landscape architecture projects and defines and develops solutions to obstacles to ensure project meets internal schedule and deliverable standards, while meeting and exceeding the clients' expectations and standards.
• Collaborates with design team through all design stages from concept through construction and post-construction services.
• Executes production processes; prepare plans and proposals.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
• State registration for Landscape Architecture preferred
• A minimum of 10 years experience executing land and/or landscape planning, architecture and design projects
• A minimum of 6 years experience managing and leading design projects.
• Leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Jacksonville on a monthly basis.
