The College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) at the University of Minnesota has a large and diverse portfolio of program offerings. They encompass undergraduate and master's degree programs, professional development offerings for practitioners through courses, conferences, and contract learning, pre-college programs for high school students (concurrent enrollment and PSEO), and lifelong learning for personal enrichment. The Executive Director, Finance for CCAPS oversees an extensive range of transactions related to developing, marketing, and delivering the programs, and provides financial information to guide investment decisions related to adding, expanding, or reducing programs. The Executive Director, Finance is responsible for maintaining effective accounting practices and procedures, and provides leadership for a culture of strong internal controls that ensures compliance with University procedures and integrity with respect to all stakeholders. The position will lead the College by acting as a good resource steward, providing the financial guidance and tools that feed the entrepreneurial spirit throughout the college, and as a strategist to lead the financial future direction of the college. Total revenues from all sources are approximately $33 million. This is a 100% time P&A position. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. This position reports to the Dean, and given the nature of the work, is expected to be on university premises four days/week. Work for a phenomenal team and College that's learner centered! Analyze and interpret financial information pertaining to the performance of the college, and make recommendations concerning business policy, strategy, resource allocation, and business operations to improve financial performance. 1. Organize and manage the work of (5) financial professionals who in turn work directly with the major revenue-producing units of the college and professional support units. Serve as the hiring authority for the finance unit; manage performance. Foster a professional and positive working environment committed to principles and practices of respect, inclusivity, continuous improvement, excellent customer service, and teamwork. 1. Serve as primary liaison with central administrative units for budget, financial and capital asset matters, audits, sponsored projects, banking and investments, PCI compliance, and for other issues that may arise.
