Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical support, quoting, and direction to customers for SKF Machined Seals (MS).



  • Collaborate with SKF Sales to create visit plans for promoting MS where applicable.



  • Conduct failure analysis inspections specifically for MS and provide root causes and potential solutions.



  • Coordinate with SKF team to integrate solutions involving MS.



  • Create, read, inspect, and approve technical drawings related to MS.



  • Update and maintain engineering activities in relevant databases/systems for MS.



  • Perform other duties, e.g., preparing presentations, develop engineering processes specific to MS where applicable.



  • Provide cost & availability to SKF Purchasing for specialty items and/or materials for MS.



  • General customer service requests if required.






Qualifications:



  • Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum of two years' work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience within Machined Seal design and quoting.



  • A strong command of hydraulic sealing principles/systems with the ability to design and support Machined Seal solutions.



  • Knowledge of Machined Seal related industries (Food & Beverage, Energy, Mining, Renewables, etc.)



  • Proficient with AutoCAD, or other technical design software, and Microsoft Office



  • Knowledge of CRM software (such as SAP/C4C) would be an asset.



  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with all levels of staff, as well as with customers to provide engineering support.



  • Must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time.



  • Knowledge of Six Sigma principles would be beneficial.
